Policies and Management of the Zoology Museum

Current Policies: The general policies of the Zoology Museum of University of Tehran are determined by the Museum Council, composed of professors from the Department of Zoology in the Faculty of Biology, the Dean of the Faculty of Biology, the Deputy of Administrative and Financial Affairs, and the Dean of the Faculty of Sciences. The museum director is elected by the Museum Council every three years and is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the museum and following up on the decisions of the Museum Council.

Mission and Impact: The Zoology Museum of University of Tehran, emphasizing the importance of preserving and protecting wildlife and scientific records, plays a significant role in facilitating and reviving scientific and applied research and advancing the life sciences based on its experiences and knowledge of Iran's fauna. Moreover, by overseeing and reforming regulations and issues related to modern methods and approaches to museum development, the museum strives to meet the needs of society and future generations. To date, it has been the source of over 200 international scientific articles. The Zoology Museum is also of great importance in terms of public awareness and educating those interested in biology.
